The player’s draft event of Legends Champions Trophy, a tournament graced by former cricketers was held on Monday at a city hotel in the capital.
Bashundhara Group Vice-Chairman Safwan Sobhan Tasvir and Bangladesh Cricket Board director Jalal Yunus were present in the draft ceremony.
Six different franchises - Acme Strikers, Gemcon Titans, Expo Raiders, Narayanganj Warriors, Baisakhi Bengal and Ja’Doube Stars made a 16-member squad each from a list of 120 players.
Bangladesh cricket legends - Khaled Mashud, Habibul Bashar, Khaled Mahmud, Naimur Rahman, Minhajul Abedin and Akram Khan will lead the franchises in the 100-ball cricket tournament.
The tournament will take place on February 18-21 at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket in Cox’s Bazar. Country’s first and only sports channel, T Sports will telecast all the matches of the tournament live.
