Agrani Bank’s 10-day training workshop concludes

A 10-day training workshop titled ‘International Trade Payment and Financing’ organised by Agrani Bank Training Institute (ABTI) has been concluded.

The training workshop was initiated with the aim to create a workforce suitable for domestic trade.

During the workshop, 53 trainees learnt to open LC in foreign trade, send LC with swift, scrutinize the documents received at the branch against import debentures, and others.

Speaking at the concluding function, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank Zaid Bakht said that there is no substitute for training in enhancing human knowledge, skills, and abilities in human resource development.

He also emphasised making the ABTI more advance and reach to the international level.

Through this training course, the skills of the foreign exchange officers of the bank will be multiplied, he added.

Deputy Managing Director, senior executives of the bank, including Anisur Rahman and faculty members of ABTI, conducted the workshop session.

Earlier, on January 17, Agrani Bank’s Managing Director and CEO Mohammad Shams-Ul Islam inaugurated the training workshop.
