Shooters showcase dismal performance

Country’s celebrated shooter Abdullah Hel Baki finished 14th out 45 participants after scoring 619.3 points in the men’s 10m air rifle in the final day of Asian Online Shooting Championship on Saturday.

Rabiul Islam finished 13th with scoring 619.4 while Rabbi Hasan, who scored 617.7, finished 19th.

Indian shooters Divyansh Singh Panwar, Arjun Babuta and Deepak Kumar secured the top three slots after scoring 632.4, 630.1 and 628.8 points respectively. 

In the women’s 10m air rifle, Rithika Chowdhury ended 20th out of 45 participants after scoring 620.2 while Sayeda Atkia Hasan Disha and Nafisa Tabassum finished 27th and 28th after scoring 617.3 and 617.2 points respectively.

Enkhmaa Erdenechuluun of Mongolia won the gold medal after scoring 629.7 points while Yelizaveta Bezrukova of Kazakhstan and Shiori Hirata of Japan finished second and third after scoring 629.5 and 629 points respectively.

A total of 11 shooters from Bangladesh took part in the two-day online competition.
