West Indies head coach Phil Simmons said on Saturday that they will be eyeing to take 10 points from the dead-rubber against Bangladesh as they reached Chattogram for the series concluding last game, scheduled on Monday.
Bangladesh are strong favourites to make the series 3-0 after looking into the inexperience and off-coloured performance in the field of West Indies team but their head coach Simmons insisted they are yet not down totally.“We came here for 30 points but we still have a chance to get 10 points in this competition. But most of all, (we need) just the improvement,” Simmons said upon his arrival at the port-city.
“We have got from 122 to 148 but we need to get into the 230-250 so that we can be competitive. Give the bowlers something to bowl at and show mettle in that aspect. But definitely ten points would be the ultimate,” he added.
