600 poor families get corona hygiene kits in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI: Some 600 less-income and other underprivileged families were given hygiene kits aimed at protecting themselves from infection of the present novel coronavirus (Covid-19).

Rajshahi Regional Office of Caritas Bangladesh extended the support on behalf of its project styled “Humanitarian Assistance to multi-hazard affected vulnerable people under the Urban Management of migration due to Climate Change” at Koyerdara playground on Tuesday afternoon in the city, reports BSS.

Each of the beneficiary households was given one 20-liter bucket, five toilet soap, two kilogram detergent powder, four disposable sanitary napkins, four toothbrushes, one 160-gram toothpaste and two reusable face masks.

Rajshahi Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton attended the ceremony as the chief guest and handed over the support to the enlisted people with Caritas Rajshahi Regional Director Sukleash George Costa in the chair.
