BIWTA demolishes 73 illegal structures

The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) on Wednesday knocked down 73 structures as part of its ongoing drive to demolish illegal establishments on the bank of the Buriganga river.

Executive Magistrate Mahabub Jamil led the drive at Muslimbagh area under Kamrangirchar in the capital.

During the drive, seventy three illegal structures were demolished including three three-storey buildings, seven two-storey buildings, five one–storey buildings and 35 semi-concrete shops.
