21 SPs get new postings

A total of 21 police officers, who have recently been promoted to superintendents of police (SPs), have been given new postings.

A notification signed by Dhananjoy Kumar Das, deputy secretary (Police-1) of the Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs, was issued on Tuesday in this regard.

As per the notification, Sufian Ahmed of the Police Headquarters has been sent to the Police Staff College as SP while Nazimul Haque of Industrial Police Unit to In-Service Training Centre      

in Pirojpur as its commandant, Wahidul Haque Chowdhury of Chattogram Metropolitan Police to In-Service Training Centre in Bandarban as its commandant, Mohammad Belayet Hossain of the Police Headquarters to In-Service Training Centre in Satkhira as its commandant, Jahangir Alam of Police Staff College to Police Bureau of Investigation, Dr SM Farhad Hossain of Special Branch to In-Service Training Centre in Kushtia as its commandant, Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mamun of Special Security and Protection Battalion to In-Service Training Centre in Cox’s Bazar as its commandant, Nurul Amin Howlader of Police Staff College to Barishal Range as SP, ASM Shamsur Rahman Bhuiyan of Criminal Investigation Department to In-Service Training Centre in Naogaon as its commandant and Mahfuzzaman Ashraf of Rangpur Range to In-Service Training Centre in Lalmonirhat as its commandant.

Besides, Jasim Uddin of Dhaka Metropolitan Police has been transferred to Faridpur River Police while Mohammad Tajul Islam of Rapid Action Battalion to Khulna Metropolitan Police as deputy commissioner, Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman of the Police Headquarters to the Police Headquarters as assistant inspector general, Mohammad Shahriar Ali of Police Headquarters to In-Service Training Centre in Jhenaidah as its commandant, Mohammad Belal Hossain of Police Bureau of Investigation to In-Service Training Centre in Bogura as its commandant, Rabiul Islam of Armed Police Battalion to Police Training Centre in Khulna as SP, Mohammad Abdullah Al Faruk of Rangpur Metropolitan Police to In-Service Training Centre in Nilphamari  as its commandant, Mohammad Anwar Zahid of the Police Headquarters to Police Telecom as SP, Mohammad Saidur Rahman of Dhaka district police to Chattogram Range as SP, Mohammad Salauddin Talukder of Police Staff College to In-Service Training Centre in Jamalpur as its commandant and Mohammad Shahjahan of Armed Police Battalion has given posting at In-Service Training Centre in Dinajpur as its commandant.

On December 10 last, the police officers were given in-situ promotion.
