Two held with huge hemp in Rangpur

RANGPUR: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-13) seized 21.80 kgs of smuggled hemp (ganja) and arrested two presumed drug traders from village Joyrampur in Mithapukur upazila of the district on Friday night, reports BSS.

“An operational team of the Crime Prevention Specialised Company (CPSC) of RAB-13 searched a stone-laden cargo truck and arrested its driver and helper with smuggled dry ganja and other goods,” said a press release issued here this afternoon.

During the raid, the elite force seized the smuggled ganja especially packed in four sacs, three mobile phone sets, the truck, three SIM cards and a memory card and Taka 9,000 in cash from the possessions of the arrested persons.
