ICT Division implements 20.91pc of ADP

ICT Division has implemented 20.91 percent of Annual Development Programme (ADP) in the first six months of the present fiscal year 2020-21.

State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak revealed the information at the bi-annual ADP review meeting held virtually on Wednesday.

The government allocated Tk 14.14 billion for ICT Division to implement 25 projects during the fiscal year.

During the review meeting, the state minister directed officials to complete 500 digital labs naming after Sheikh Russel, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, across the country.

For establishment of Sheikh Russell Digital Lab, ICT Division has given priority on the recommendation from the member of parliaments.

Marking the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation, ICT Division will set up Bangabandhu Corner at Hi-tech Park in Rajshahi for upholding the memories of the great leader among young generations.

ICT Division Senior Secretary Zeaul Alam, Bangladesh Hi-tech Park Authority (BHTPA) Managing Director Hosne Ara Begum, Bangladesh Computer Council Executive Director Parthapratim Deb, and Department of ICT Director General Arshad Hossain were, among other department heads, connected to the meeting.

They discussed the progress and challenges in different projects and programme including, Connected Bangladesh, Aspire to Innovate, hi-tech park projects, establishing digital agency projects, mobile game and application development projects and learning earning projects.
