140 ethnic minority people get blankets in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI: Some 140 ethnic minority distressed people got blankets to protect themselves from the current cold bite in Rajshahi Barind area on Tuesday.

The warm clothes were distributed separately at Muslim Girls High School playground under Nachole Upazila in Chapainawabgonj and at Dr Abu Bakar High School and College ground under Tanore Upazila in Rajshahi on behalf of the Traidcraft Exchange Bangladesh Staff Benevolent Fund, reports BSS.

Agriculture Sustainable and Socio-economic Development Organization (ASSEDO) organized the distribution programmes.

Nachole Upazila Chairman Abdul Kader, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sabiha Sultana, Traidcraft Exchange Country Director Shahed Ferdous and ASSEDO Executive Director Robiul Alam were present on the occasions.
