Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) is organising cultural events in 10 upazilas across the country from January 4 to January 31.
This was disclosed by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky at a view change meeting with journalists at the conference room of National Art Gallery of the Academy on Saturday.Liaquat Ali Lucky said, “The BSA will arrange cultural programmes in 10 upazilas to promote cultural practices among people from all walks of life.”
The inauguration ceremony of the month-long cultural shows will be held at 03:30pm today virtually. Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Culture Affairs Ministry Chairman Simin Hossain Rimi will inaugurate the programmes. Parliament Chief Whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury will attend the programme as chief guest while Madaripur district administrator Dr. Rahima Khatun, Shibchar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Asaduzzaman and others will be present on the occasion as special guests with BSA Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky in the chair.
Among the upazials, the programmes will be held at Shibchar upazila of Madaripur district on January 4 and 5, Kapasia upazila of Gazipur on January 13 and 14, Nawabganj upazila in Dhaka on January 22 and 23, Domar upazila in Nilphamari on January 25, Bhandaria upazila in Pirojpur on January 26, Melandaha upazila in Jamalpur on January 27 and 28, Rangunia upazila in Chattogram January 29, Kaharole upazila in Dinajpur on January 30, Dumuria upazila in Khulna and Matlab upazila in Chandpur district on January 30 and 31.
BSA will also hold National Photography exhibition, National Sculpture Exhibition, National Art Exhibition and a drawing competition titled ‘Bangabandhu Antarjatik Shishu Chitrankan Pratijogita’ in 2021.
