Liberation War Affairs Ministry to make ‘Operation Jackpot’

The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has taken initiatives to make a historical film ‘Operation Jackpot’ over Liberation War. A committee has already been formed in this regard, said a press release.

Minister for Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Haque made the remarks while addressing the unveiling ceremony of the book ‘Nou-Judhha Ekattar’ written by the valiant freedom fighter Md. Shahjahan Kabir at the conference room of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs on Thursday, reports BSS.

He said “Operation Jackpot” of 1971 was one of the most important operations in the history of naval warfare. The naval commandos of Bengal sank 26 Pakistani ships in a simultaneous operation in different ports.

Among others, Secretary of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs Tapan Kanti Ghosh, Freedom Fighter Shahabuddin Ahmed Bir Uttam, Freedom Fighter Badiul Alam Bir Uttam, Freedom Fighter Md. Shahjah also spoke on the occasion.
