Trust Bank and Malaysian telecom giant Axiata on Wednesday launched a mobile app of digital financial service called Trust Axiata Pay (Tap) in a bid to expand mobile based transactions.
Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed inaugurated the mobile app-based digital platform at a virtual ceremony.Addressing the launching event, Army chief mentioned the mobile financial service has emerged as a modern tool in the age of information technology. “Introduction of Tap application during MujibYear will make significant contribution to implementing Digital Bangladesh vision of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,”
According to a statement of Inter-Service Public Relations, Tap mobile app will enable tzhe user in money transaction, merchant bill payment, tuition fee payment, receiving remittance, mobile top-up, utility bill and insurance premium payment. Tap is the only app for paying fees related to recruitment process of three forces. Besides, the fee payment options for national identity card, passport as well as 56 educational institutions are the unique feature of the app, ISPR release said.
Existing users of T-Cash services of Trust Bank will be included automatically to the newly introduced Tap mobile app.
Officials informed the app maintained ‘military grade’ security system with encrypted data privacy.
With the electronic KYC feature, anyone can sign up with the Tap App with a simple scanning of National ID card and taking a selfie following the instruction in the service.
