Rohingya leader held over CPP volunteer abduction

COX’S BAZAR: Law enforcers detained a Rohingya leader from the camp at Palong Khali union in Ukhiya upazila of the district on suspicion of abducting a volunteer of Cyclone Preparedness Programme (CPP).

The detained leader is Mohammad Taher, head boatman of No. 16 Shafiullah Kata Rohingya camp and son of Abul Bashar.

Members of Armed Police Battalion (APBN) detained Taher after they rescued abducted CPP volunteer Mohammad Hossain at around 1:00pm on Wednesday.
