Science-based knowledge for new generation underscored

NAOGAON: Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder on Wednesday urged the new generation to take the country forward dedicating themselves to the welfare of the people through acquiring science-based knowledge.

The minister, as the chief guest, made this call while speaking at a Science Fair organised by Niamatpur Upazila Administration of the district under the supervision of the Ministry of Science and Technology in the morning at Niamatpur Upazila Parishad Auditorium on the occasion of ‘42nd National Science and Technology Week’.

The minister was addressing the function from Dhaka through a video conference on Zoom app.

Emphasising importance of science based education, the minister said that science is a blessing for a society, a country and the world. There is no alternative to science based knowledge to take the country forward.

The minister further said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is taking the country forward. The new generation must be the part of this journey. To that end, the new generation has to educate themselves in modern science-based education.

He also warned them to refrain from the misusing of modern technologies like social media platform.
