Bangladesh envoy meets chief of protocol ambassador in Qatar

Bangladesh Ambassador to the State of Qatar Md Jashim Uddin had a meeting with Chief of Protocol Ambassador Ibrahim Fakhroo in Doha on Tuesday.

During the meeting, two sides discussed various issues pertaining to the interest of the expatriate Bangladeshis in Qatar. At the time, the Bangladesh ambassador highlighted the difficulties including financial distress being faced by the stranded Bangladeshis and urged for urgent action for their return to join work in Qatar.

Ambassador Fakhroo immediately took actions to draw the attention of the concerned authorities of the government of Qatar, said a press release of Bangladesh Embassy in Qatar.

 The meeting also stressed the need for holding the next round of Foreign Office Consultations and exchange of high-level visits to further strengthen the existing excellent bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Qatar.

Among other issues, they also discussed topics relating to consular services, administrative matters and chancery infrastructure, particularly the designated parking space for the consular service receivers at the embassy.

The meeting was also attended by Md Mahbur Rhaman, Counsellor (Political and Economic Affairs) from the embassy.
