The Covid-19 recovery rate has improved further in the country to reach 82.02 percent as of Tuesday as a good number of people are recuperating every day.
In total, recoveries have reached 383,224 after 2,513 more Covid-19 patients beat the virus during the last 24 hours till 8am yesterday, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).Meanwhile, 2,293 new infections from coronavirus were detected in the country during the period, raising the total caseload to 467,225. Besides, virus-related casualties have jumped to 6,675 with the deaths of 31 more corona patients.
According to the DGHS, the mortality rate in the country stood at 1.43 percent.
It said 16.76 percent of the total samples tested so far returned positive while the daily positivity rate was 14.79 percent. A total of 15,501 samples, out of 15,969 collected, were tested at 118 labs in the country during the period. So far, 2,788,202 samples have been tested cross the country.
First three cases of Covid-19 were detected in the country on March 8 while the first death was recorded on March 18.
