KCC mayor urges physicians to treat people with care

KHULNA: Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque on Sunday called upon physicians to provide treatment to people with care despite limited resources.

The mayor made this call while speaking as the chief guest at a health related workshop titled ‘Quality Improvement Secretariate’ at Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH)’s conference room in the city, reports BSS.

Terming the quality of health facilities as much better than past in the country, he said doctors should come forward for the wellbeing of people with a sense of providing service shunning business intension.

Health Economy Unit of the Department of Health of the Ministry of Health organised the workshop while KMCH Director Dr Munshi Md Reza Sekendar presided it.

Khaleque mentioned that the government has set up around 17,000 community clinics, so far, to ease treatment for the poor people while people get various medicines from the community clinics.
