JAMALPUR: Jamalpur Municipality has executed huge development works in the last five years, said mayor Mirza Sakhawatul Alam Moni.
The mayor claimed this while speaking at a press conference at its hall room on Wednesday. The Mayor said RCC roads, RCC drains, public toilets and community toilets were constructed at a cost of Tk 32 crore for increasing civic amenities of the residents of the municipality.
Moni said as part of five years infrastructure development project Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina allotted Tk 292 crore for the municipality.
The mayor said 16 projects out of 72 were completed and 10 acres of land were also purchased at Kampapur area in the town for setting up a modern dumping station for garbage management.
