The University Grants Commission (UGC) is going to give conditional approval to the private universities for taking practical classes and examinations for the students of final semester.

UGC sources said the commission took a decision at a recent meeting to allow the students of private universities whose final year results of graduation and post graduation exams stuck due to practical classes and examinations.

As per the decision, the private universities will hold practical classes and examinations at their campuses following strict health guidelines.

The distance between two students must be at least six feet while taking the classes or examinations.

A maximum of 10 students are allowed for a lab class or examination and the university will not hold more than one class or exam a day.
