Government has introduced digital system to pay land development tax through online in a bid to prevent corruption in land offices.
Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury inaugurated the service on Wednesday at a meeting at Secretariat in the capital.Officials informed that around 36 million landowners in the country will get benefit directly from this service.
Land Minister Saifuzzaman said that the land development tax collection system has been digitised following the prevailing rules and regulations in order to provide hassle-free services to a large number of land service recipients at low cost as part of the 'Digital Bangladesh.
Land Secretary Muksodur Rahman Patwary was also present on the occasion where Land Reforms Board Chairman Md. Yaqub Ali Patwari chaired the function.
