Import, export resume thru Benapole port

BENAPOLE: Import-export between Bangladesh and India through Benapole land port resumed on Tuesday morning after a four-day holiday on the occasion of Durga Puja.

Benapole Port Deputy Director (Traffic) Abdul Jalil said import-export between Bangladesh and India has resumed. From morning till noon, 95 trucks carrying 475 tonnes of goods were imported through Benapole port.

25 trucks carrying goods have exported from Bangladesh to India through the land port, while many perishable goods are still waiting to enter from the Indian side, our local correspondent reports quoting Deputy Director (Traffic) Abdul Jalil of Benapole Customs House.
