Navy provides livelihood items for flood victims

Bangladesh Navy has provided livelihood materials for the helpless and unemployed people affected by the coronavirus, river erosion, natural disasters and floods in Khulna.

As many as 70 helpless and destitute families of Dighalia, Jabusa and Mathabhanga areas of the district on Tuesday received rickshaws, vans, sewing machines and goats from the Navy under the supervision of Commander Khulna Naval Area. 

Navy also has been conducting various public awareness activities in the coastal districts of Barguna Sadar, Amtali, Betagi, Bamna, Patharghata and Taltali upazilas.

It is to be noted that the Navy is conducting such activities on a regular basis with the help of the affected and helpless people in the remote coastal areas to deal with the critical situation of the country and it is expected that these activities will continue till the situation improves, a press release said.
