The number of coronavirus cases has crossed four lakh in the country so far. Fifteen 15 more died from the disease during the last 24 hours till Monday morning.
According to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), fifteen more people died of coronavirus while 1,436 new cases were detected during the last 24 hours till 8am on Monday.The total number of coronavirus infection cases has reached to 400251 in the country, it added.
The DGHS said 17.62 percent of the samples have been diagnosed with coronavirus and 1.45 percent patients have died. Some 10.44 percent samples have been diagnosed with the disease in a day.
However, the coronavirus recovery rate has crossed 79 percent in the country as number of daily deaths and detection of new cases also has decreased.
Some 1,493 coronavirus infected patients have made recovery from the disease in a day, raising the total number to 3,16,600.
“The recovery rate from Covid-19 disease has reached 79.10 percent in the country,” it said.
The health directorate said the death toll from Covid-19 disease has risen to 5,818 and the total death rate stands at 1.45 percent in the country.It said detection of new cases has decreased while the number of recovery cases has been increasing across the country.
A total of 13,758 samples, out of 13,666 collected, were tested at 110 labs in the country during the period, the report added.
A total of 22,71,347 samples have been tested to detect coronavirus infection across the country so far.
The first case of Covid-19 was detected on March 8 while the first death was recorded on March 18 in the country.
