Sheikh Hasina Youth Volunteer Award’s logo unveiled

The logo unveiling ceremony of Sheikh Hasina Youth Volunteer Award 2020 held at the National Sports Council auditorium on yesterday. State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russel MP unveiled the logo as chief guest, Ministry for Youth and Sports (MOYS) said in a press release.

MOYS introduced the award under the “Virtual Global Voluntary Forum” program, one of the mega events of the Dhaka OIC Youth Capital 2020, to recognize young volunteers in Bangladesh and across the world who showed indomitable spirit in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The award will be given in ten categories – most inspiring volunteer story, most impactful initiative, best innovative idea, corporate support in voluntary youth activities, most impactful media personnel, community leadership and service, environmental response, act of bravery, service excellence and outstanding youth voluntary organization.

Interested persons have been asked to enroll their name on the website youthpowerhouse.org from November 1 to 31.

“The year 2020 is especially important for us as this year we are celebrating the birth centenary of the Greatest Bengali of all time Father of our nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The immense courage that Bangabandhu has shown in any movement still serves as an inspiration for the youth in every sphere of life,” said Zahid. 

Senior Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Masud Bin Momen was present there as the special guest while President of Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) Taha  Ayhan virtually joined the event as Guest of Honor. Secretary of Ministry for Youth and Sports Md Akhter Hossain delivered welcome speech.
