32 more die, 1,271 cases detected

The number of recovery cases from the coronavirus infection has already crossed 2.7 lakh in the country. The recovery rate is also increasing day by day.

According to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), some 1,714 coronavirus infected patients have made recovery from the disease in last 24 hours till Sunday morning, raising the total number to 2,70,491 across the country.

“The recovery rate from covid-19 disease has reached 75.31 percent in the country,” it said.

The DGHS said 32 more corona patients died while 1,275 new cases were detected in the last 24 hours till yesterday morning. The daily number of cases of coronsvirus infection has fallen. It said the death toll from Covid-19 disease has risen to 5,161 and the total death rate stands at 1.44 percent in the country.

The number of coronavirus infection cases also reached 3,59,148 with the latest 1,275 infection cases detected in the last 24 hours. The health directorate said detection of new cases is decreasing every day while the number of recovery cases has been increasing across the country. A total of 10,685 samples, out of 10,261 collected, were tested at 105 labs in the country during the period, the report added.

It said 19,09460 samples have been tested to detect the coronavirus infection across the country. The DGHS said 18.81 percent of the samples have been diagnosed with coronavirus and 1.44 percent patients have died. Some 11.93 percent samples have been diagnosed with the disease in a day. The first case of Covid-19 was detected on March 8 while the first death was recorded on March 18 in the country.
