Virat Kohli, captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore, has been fined for maintaining a slow over-rate during the match against Kings XI Punjab on Thursday (September 24) in Dubai, reports Cricbuzz.

Kohli opted to field first, operating with three fast bowlers in Dale Steyn, Umesh Yadav and Navdeep Saini at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The first innings lasted an hour and 51 minutes.

This was RCB's first offence of the season under the IPL's Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences. Kohli was fined INR 12 lakh as a result.
