Movie theatres across the country will finally reopen on October 16 after a seven months closure over the coronavirus pandemic. Following a meeting between the Ministry of Information and Bangladesh Film Distributors’ Association on Monday, Information Minister Hasan Mahmud announced the decision.
Confirming the news, Bangladesh Film Distributors’ Association leaders said that they are preparing to reopen cinemas and run shows with half the capacity for a certain period of time.Cine distributers and hall owners are still in doubt that whether audience will feel confident enough to return to hall for watching movies or not.
Although, shooting of some films has resumed and a number of movies will have to struggle for a perfect time to be released.
It is mentionable that the government asked the cinema hall owners to close their halls from March 18 to contain the spread of coronavirus in the country.
