Culinary training for Bangladeshi expatriates begins in Greece

A culinary training programme for Bangladeshi expatriates currently living in Greece has begun with an aim to create skilled workforce.

Bangladesh Embassy in Athens organised the training programme in association with Greek human resource organisation IEK Delta on Thursday.

Expatriate’ and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmad as the chief guest inaugurated the training virtually while Expatriates' Welfare Ministry Secretary Ahmed Munirus Saleheen was also connected to the programme as the special guest, said a press release con Friday.

Around 15 Bangladeshi youths currently living in the country are participating in the first phase of the course. A total of 90 expatriates will also be trained up gradually.

Bangladesh Ambassador in Greece Ashud Ahmed, Embassy Labour Counsellor Syeda Farhana Noor Chowdhury and Political Counsellor Mohammad Khaled, among others, also addressed the virtual programme.
