The chairmen of 11 education boards will sit in a meeting on September 24 to decide the fate of the postponed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations.

Sources at Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Sub-Committee said the meeting is likely to come up with an important decision on the long-overdue public examinations.

The meeting will be held on September 24 at 2:00 pm at the conference room of Dhaka Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education with Dhaka board Chairman Prof Ziaul Haque in the chair.

HSC examinations were scheduled to begin on April 1 but those could not happen due to coronavirus pandemic.

Students of all classes are facing an identical situation but the government is putting importance on HSC and some other examinations which are held under the education boards.
