Corona Cup Rugby starts today

Bangladesh Rugby Federation Union (BRFU) is going to arrange the day-long Corona Cup Rugby competition at Paltan Maidan in the capital today. The meet is named after the pandemic coronavirus to raise mass awareness about the disease.

The meet will kick-off at 11:00am. A total of four teams namely Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Ansar, Victoria Sporting and Flame Boys Rugby Club, are taking part in the competition.

NSC Secretary Masood Karim will inaugurate the meet as chief guest while BRFU President Md Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin will distribute prizes as chief guest in the closing ceremony.  The champions and runners-up teams will be awarded trophies.

BRFU General Secretary Mousum Ali believes that their initiatives would inspire other federations to step forward to resume their actions.
