The cultural arena of the country has taken elaborate programmes to observe the National Mourning Day today, marking the 45th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Bangladesh Betar and Bangladesh Television (BTV) will air special programmes in observance of the National Mourning Day. National newspapers will publish special supplements on the occasion.Private TV channels also have arranged an array of special programmes to mark the day.
BTV will air a special programme ‘Karagarer Rojnamcha’ at 08:30 pm and special drama ‘32 No Theke Fire’ at 09:00pm today.
ATN Bangla will air a special programme ‘Uccharanguli Shoker’ at 10.30am.
Anchored by Dr. Soumitra Shekhar, the programme is directed by Selim Doula Khan. Document ‘Mohanayok’ will be aired at 12.20pm. Special drama ‘Rosktosnato August’ will be telecast at 09:00pm.
Docudrama ‘Hasina: A Daughter’s Tale’ will be aired at 02:10pm on RTV today. Hosted by Iqbal Khorshed special programme ‘Bangabandhur Dinolipi’ is scheduled to air at 05:00pm on the same channel.
NTV will air a special talk show ‘Mujib, Shototo Mone Pore Tomay’ at 11.30pm. Special drama ‘Sekandar Ali’r Cheque’ will be telecast at 08:00pm on Ekushey Television.Maasranga Television will air a special telefilm ‘Aroj Ali Dakat’ at 08:30pm. Directed by Borno Nath, the telefilm stars Gazi Rakayet, Farzana Chobby and others. Special musical show ‘Bangabandhu Ke Niye’ will broadcast at 11:00pm.
Directed and hosted by Shykh Seraj, a special episode, ‘Mati O Manusher Mohan Neta’ will be aired on Channel i at 09:40pm today. The channel will air special drama ‘Protirodh Juddhe Dui Bir’ at 07:50pm. The drama is directed by Abu Hayat Mahmud.
Written and directed by Noman Robin, a special documentary, ‘Hajar Bochorer Sreshtho Bangali’ will be aired at 04:00 pm today on
A special programme ‘Bangabandhu, Nana Borne, Nana Rekhay’, will be broadcast on Duronto Television at 05:00 pm. This programme will be hosted by Dr. Nuzhat Chowdhury. ‘Khoka Theke Bangabandhu,’ will be aired at 02:00 pm.
To mark the day, Cultural Affairs Ministry will organise discussion, cultural programme and doa-mahfil at Jatiya Nattyasala of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) at 04:00pm on August 17.
Bangla Academy will organise discussion on ‘Bangabandhu in 100 years’ and tree plantation programme on August 16.
Directorate of Archives and Libraries has organised a digital exhibition with some rare photography of Bangabandhu’s life and activities from
August 7 to 21.
Besides, Bangladesh National Museum, BSA, the Department of Public Library, Kabi Nazrul Institute will organise virtual discussion and seminar to commemorating the Father of the Nation.
