Navy team leaves for South Sudan to join UN peace mission

A 67-member contingent of Bangladesh Navy leaves Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on Friday to join the UN peacekeeping mission in South Sudan.

A 67-member contingent of Bangladesh Navy left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on Friday to join UN peacekeeping mission in South Sudan.

Earlier on July 25, another group consisting of 67 members of Bangladesh Navy left Dhaka for South Sudan to join the mission, said an ISPR press release.

Mentionable, a Force Marine Unit of Bangladesh Navy has been deployed in South Sudan as the Force Marine Unit of United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) for two decades.
