DUCS organises letter writing competition on Bangabandhu

Dhaka University Cultural Society (DUCS) has arranged a letter writing competition on Bangabandhu to pay tribute to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The competition titled ‘Letter to Bangabandhu’ will be held online this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Participants have to write their feelings about Bangabandhu under the title ‘Dear Bangabandhu’ within 1500 words to take part to the competition.

The competition is open to all which consists of two sections — junior group for primary to secondary school students and senior group for higher secondary to upper graders.

A total of 10 competitors, 5 each from the two groups, will be announced as winner. Books and certificates will be given to the winners as reward.

About the competition, DUCS President Hillol Shekhar Samaddar said, “We are organising this competition since 2015, from the very beginning of DUCS’s journey. The main purpose of the competition is bringing out the new generations’ thought about Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. We want to encourage new generation to know and think more about Bangabandhu.”

Participants are asked to submit their writing through DUCS’s official mail address [email protected] or in its Facebook page. Last date of the submission is August 20.
