Momen, Shahriar pray for Pranab’s quick recovery

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has prayed for speedy recovery of former Indian President Pranab Mukherjee, who has been undergoing treatment at Army’s Research and Referral (R&R) hospital in New Delhi, India after tested positive for Covid-19.

In a message sent to Mukherjee’s office, Momen described him as a true friend of Bangladesh and wished his speedy recovery, said a Foreign Ministry press release. The minister said he along with his wife visited Mukherjee's official residence and invited him (Mukherjee) to join Bangabandhu's birth centenary celebrations.

“I expect he will soon visit Bangladesh after recovery” said the foreign minister.

Meanwhile, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam also prayed for quick recovery of the former Indian president.
