Jaishankar lauds Momen

NEW DELHI: Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar lauded his Bangladesh counterpart Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen for sending condolence at the death of the tragic accident of Air India Express flight.

In a letter sent to AK Abdul Momen on Monday, Jaishankar said such support is a source of big strength at this difficult time.

On August 8, at least 18 persons, including the pilot and co-pilot, were killed and 112 injured after the Air India Express aircraft carrying 195 people from Dubai skidded off the runway and fell into a gorge amid torrential rain at Kozhikode airport in Kerala.

Indian External Affairs Minister also wrote to others Foreign Ministers of different countries, who sent goodwill message.
