The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Sunday sought information and records from Kuwait-Bangladesh Maitree Hospital and Regent Discovery Foods and Travels Limited on charges of irregularities and corruption amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Two separate letters signed by ACC Director Mir Mohammad Zainul Abedin Shibli were sent to the coordinator of the hospital and the managing director of the food company seeking the information, sources said.

ACC officials said information and records, including accommodation and meals of doctors, nurses and other staff engaged in medical services to Covid-19 patients, were sought from the hospital and the food company for the sake of a proper investigation.
