The arms case against Shamima Nur Papia, who has been expelled from Jubo Mohila League, and her husband Mofizur Rahman was transferred for trial on Sunday.

Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate A M Zulfikar Hayat sent the case documents to Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court, court sources said.

On June 29, RAB Sub-inspector Arifuzzaman, who is investigating the case, submitted a charge sheet against the couple to Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court.

Rab-1 nabbed Papia, her husband — a former Chhatra League leader — and two of their accomplices from Dhaka’s Airport on February 22 when they were about to leave the country.
