‘Swapnadal’ to observe Hiroshima Day today

Theatre troupe Swapnadal will observe the Hiroshima Day 2020 with the slogan of ‘Ar Noy Hiroshima, Ar Noy Nagasaki; Ar Noy Paromanobik Ashtra, Ar Noy Juddho’ today.

Swapnadal has been observing the day since 2002. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic the theatre troupe will observe this year’s Hiroshima Day digitally.

Swapnadal has organised various programmes including online premiere of anti-war play ‘Tringsha Shadabdee’, which will be held at 06:00pm. It will also held a live discussion to mark the day.

Japanese ambassador to Bangladesh Naoki Ito, media personality Ramendu Majumdar, writer Jewel Ahsan Kamrul and members of Swapnadal will attend at the live discussion. Swapnadal’s Chief Secretary Zahid Repon will preside over the discussion.

Earlier, Tringsha Shadabdee was staged at different festivals like performing arts festival in Japan in 2018, A Season of Bangla Drama Festival-15 in the UK and two festivals in India.
