Low over Bay, signal 3 at ports

The Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist the local cautionary signal three as a low pressure area has formed over the North Bay and its adjoining areas.

In a special bulletin on Tuesday, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department also forecasted rainfall in parts of the country. It also forecasted squally weather in the maritime ports due to the low pressure formed over the North Bay of Bengal and the adjacent areas and strong monsoon.

Meanwhile, parts of the country are experiencing sweltering heat amid a spell of dry weather at the peak of the monsoon season.
