The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) sought information and records from Mugda 500-bed General Hospital and Hotel Super Star Ltd regarding their alleged involvement in irregularities in connection with arranging foods and accommodation for doctors and staff engaged in treating Covid-19 patients.

The anti-graft body sent letters to the managing director of Hotel Super Star and director of Mugda Hospital seeking information including the accommodation and meals of doctors, nurses and other staff engaged in treating Covid-19 patients.

The commission sent the letters signed by ACC director Mir Md Zainul Abedin Shibli on Monday asking the authorities to submit the information by August 9, said ACC director (public relations) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharjee.
