Country loses 70 doctors

One more doctor died of Covid-19 in the country on Monday night, raising the total number of death of physicians from the deadly virus to 70 so far.

Dr Nazrul Islam Chowdhury Taslim, an assistant professor of Chattogram Medical College (CMC), breathed his last at night at the hospital, the hospital sources said. He was working at Orthopedic Surgery Department of the hospital.

Besides, over seven thousand health professionals, including physicians and nurses, have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus in the country.

According to the Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA), a total of 7,249 health professionals including around 2,498 physicians, 1,821 nurses and 2,930 health workers infected with the deadly virus so far.
