BTCL to convert phone numbers to 11 digits

Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) will convert telephone numbers under Gulshan Telephone Exchange to eleven digits from tomorrow aimed at providing modern and quality services.

In a press release, BTCL said the numbers beginning with ‘984’ and ‘985’ will be changed completely. The new numbers will start with ‘02 2222’ and another new five digits will be added.

On the other hand, ‘986’, ‘988’ and ‘989’ series will start with ‘02 2222’ but the previous last five digits will be unchanged. 

It may be mentioned that BTCL will convert all telephone numbers to eleven digits across the country gradually.
