Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has urged the countrymen to remain alert about the evil forces as the conspirators of August 15 and 21 are still continuing their conspiracies.

“Plotters of August 15 and August 21 are still continuing with their evil attempts. Everyone should remain alert about the evil forces which are against the country’s development and progress,” he said.

The ruling AL general secretary came up with remarks on Tuesday while addressing a virtual discussion titled ‘Bangladesh Ei Samaye’ organised by All European chapter of Awami League.

Joining from his official residence in the capital, Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, said the conspirators changed their faces only and had still been hatching conspiracy against Sheikh Hasina.

Referring to the mourning month of August, he said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was the prime target of August 15 carnage and Sheikh Hasina was the prime target of August 21 grenade attack.

In his speech, the AL spokesperson also called upon the well-off section of expatriate Bangladeshis to stand by those fortune seekers who had been facing financial crisis amid the ongoing wave of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Well-off Bangladeshi expatriates have the responsibility to stand by those expatriates who are in trouble due to the pandemic,” he said.

Over the problems of the expatriates, the bridges minister urged them to contact the Bangladeshi missions abroad for immediate services.

“If there is any question about the service of the Bangladesh missions abroad, inform the minister or state minister of the foreign affairs ministry. Even, you can share your problems with me too,” he said.

Besides, Obaidul Quader also slammed the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) for being stagnant into negative politics.

“Bangladesh Nationalist Party remains confined into negative politics and press briefing and the party did not see any optimistic efforts of the government,” he said.

“The Bangladesh Nationalist Party is reeling on politics of criticism and falsehood,” he said.
