Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Sunday that it has decided to extend players’ individual practice session permission in the designated venues for two more days.

The eight-day individual practice session was scheduled to end on July 26 but as per the request of Mushfiqur Rahim, it is now set to end today (July 28).

Wicketkeeper-batsman Anamul Haque joined the party as he decided to avail the individual practice session service hosted by BCB. He practiced along with others at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Since July 19, BCB opened up five designated venues for individual practice sessions, Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna, Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet and Shaheed AHM Qamaruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi.

BCB is considering launching a large scale practice session after Eid.

Anamul, who joined practice on Monday, was overjoyed and was thankful to BCB to be able to have the opportunity to practice in Mirpur.

“It feels very good to be able to practice in Mirpur today (Monday). After almost four months, we got the opportunity to practice in Mirpur. In fact, while practicing today, I found a lot of weak spots in my skills which have developed during the quarantine,” Bijoy told in video message.

“Because no matter wherever I do the practice, whether it's indoors or anywhere, practicing out in the field especially in Mirpur is actually very special,” he said.

“I hope I will continue in this way as much as I can before Eid, after Eid I will continuously take part in the practice session. Thanks to BCB for giving us such an opportunity. Hope it continues,” Bijoy concluded.
