The government will impart training to public prosecutors and lawyers across the country on moving cases before virtual courts.

The law ministry has arranged the training, scheduled to be held from Jul 12-Aug 24 through video conference. German Development Organisation will extend logistic supports for the training.

Local and foreign experts will conduct the training programme, said law ministry.

Law Minister Anisul Huq will inaugurate the training on July 12.

In the first phase public prosecutors and lawyers of Brahmanbaria and Narsingdi districts will receive the training, while lawyers of other districts will receive the training in phases gradually.

It is to be mentioned that on May 11, the subordinate courts started virtual functions under the Information Technology Usage Ordinance by the Court, 2020. Later on July 8 the law was enacted at the Jatiya Sangsad, giving the virtual court a permanent shape.
