Corona catches Mash’s wife

Sumona Haque, wife of former Bangladesh National Cricket Team ODI captain Mashrafe Mortaza, also tested positive for coronavirus after Mashrafe was found to be infected in recent days.

Mashrafe stated that she is receiving treatment at her home in Dhaka and is doing well.

Mashrafe tested positive on June 20 and has also been receiving treatment at their home in Dhaka since then. He underwent his second COVID-19 test on July 4 and the results came back positive this time as well. However, the condition of his health is stable.

After Mashrafe , his younger brother, Morsalin Bin Mortaza, was also tested positive. He is also doing well.

In a very emotional video conference on Monday, Mashrafe informed that he is missing his children (daughter and son) very much as he is in isolation.

“Me and my wife are corona positive. Today, for seventeen days, our souls, our children Humaira and Sahil are away from us!” Mashrafe said.

“They are very distressed; we may not be well either. In my fight, my beloved has also fallen ill as a charioteer. If Allah wishes, the crisis will end and hopefully I will meet you all again,” Mashrafe added.
