The newly appointed South Korean Ambassador is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka today to take up his diplomatic assignment in Bangladesh.
Lee Jang-keun, ambassador-designate of the Republic of Korea to Bangladesh, replaced Ambassador Hu Kang-il, who already left on completion of his ambassadorial assignment in Dhaka.Ambassador Lee, a career diplomat, previously served as Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of the Korea’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations Office, said the Korean Embassy in Dhaka.
The diplomatic relation between South Korea and Bangladesh was established in December 1973. Since then seventeen ambassadors of South Korea have served in Dhaka so far. Ambassador Lee is the eighteenth.
