Consider students’ rents with humanity

BCL urges house owners

The Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has urged the house owners to consider the monthly house rents of students with sympathy and humanity amid the crisis caused by Covid-19 pandemic.

On Friday, in a press release, jointly signed by BCL president Al-Nahean Khan Joy and its general secretary Lekhak Bhattacharjee, the ruling party’s student front made the call and also directed its designated central leaders to resolve the matter logically.

The press release said some owners of houses and messes kicked some students out from their rented houses and messes without serving any notices. Besides, different important documents of the students including academic certificates were thrown in dustbin in absence of them.

Students have been asked to contact those designated leaders if they face any sorts of problems during the pandemic, it further reads.

The designated leaders are: social welfare secretary Shaikh Shadhin Shahed and three deputies— Sheikh Sayeed Anowar Sijar, Hasanur Rahman Hasu and Toukir Ahmed Topu. In the press release, they also condemned some incidents happened recently.
