Turongomi, a repertory dance theatre, has launched a new series of online self-development courses titled ‘Upanayan’. Keeping pace with the new normal of the current world, this course is an attempt to harmonise body, mind and thoughts while staying at home. It is strongly believed that the union of body, mind and thoughts inspires us to be creative and grooms us to remain healthy. Upanayan is such an attempt and hence it is open for all, though specially designed for grooming future dancers.
Since last two and half months members of Turongomi repertory and students of Turongomi school of dance have been practicing these contents with using online platforms. From June 21, 2020, these classes have been announced as open for all. Interested participants may register themselves via knocking on facebook, instagram, or call at +8801688932221 for registration and further assistance.There are three major courses in the ‘Upanayan’ series-- Onushilon (workout), Oddhoyon (reading and discussion) and Obhyash (lifestyle, diet etc). The workout class is being held from 10am to 12pm every day except Thursday. These classes are being conducted by Pooja Sengupta, Artistic Director of Turongomi. The reading and lifestyle discussion courses are taking place at online platforms of Turongomi on social media.
It may be mentioned that, Turongomi started online dance classes from March 20, 2020 which are still active in full swing.
